KAY AND THE SAN FRANCISCO NIKE WOMEN'S MARATHON

Most people have a hard enough time making it to downtown Houston to do a marathon and Kay went all the way to San Francisco, what a blast! She had a great time and finished in 5:17:59. Great job Kay!

CHAD COMPLETES CAPITAL TO COAST REALAY

Chad completed just over 26 miles in about 2 days. With 4 legs of running some as many as nearly 8 miles at a time Chad did a great job at keeping his team in it and walking away with some hardware. What an accomplishment!

AMY BREAKS 6 HOURS IN KERRVILLE!

OULER Amy Cadriel broke the 6 hour mark with a time of 5:57:07 in Kerrville this past Sunday in her half iron. She's been training hard all summer and it showed. Way to go Amy!

OVERALL VICTORIES BY OULERS AT DU THE BEAR!

Ryan Lindsay won the Du the Bear Duathlon today with a BLAZING fast time of 46:29, averaging 5:17 per mile for the first run, biking 24.9mph and finishing off the race running a 5:24 pace. Melanie Sun won the female overall crown with stellar performances averaging mid 6 minute miles for both runs and holding 21.5mph on the bike. Lisa Yarrow won female masters overall title with a 21mph bike bookended by a 6:22 and 6:38 paced runs. Garvin Davis had a great race averaging 9:43 per mile for his first run, biking 17.3mph, and turning in a negative split holding a 9:11 pace on the second run for a finish of 1:15:57.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OULER GRANT GLAUSER FOR WINNING THE 2011 MEMORIAL HERMANN TX3 TRIATHLON SERIES!

With his stellar performances at Kemah (3rd), Bridgeland (5th), and Houston (3rd), OULer Grant Glauser was able to capture the TX3 crown for 2011. Being an OUL member netted Grant an extra $500 as Coach Jussi Thomas agreed to double the purse for an OULer that placed in the TX3 final standings! Way to go Grant, we are all so proud and inspired by you!
